A Christmas Tale (1 of 4)
In Bethlehem, a star so bright,
Guided wise men through the night.
For Christians, Christmas marks the birth,
Of Jesus Christ, who graced the earth.
A beacon of hope, a light so pure,
In hearts of many, faith endures.
Generosity, compassion, and goodwill,
In every heart, His love instills.
On December 25th, the Western cheer,
With songs and joy, the season’s near.
While Eastern bells on January 6th,
Ring out the news of Christ’s birth fix.
From Constantine’s reign, the tales unfold,
In the 4th century, the stories told.
Yet not until the 9th century’s dawn,
Did Christmas as a festival spawn.
Victorian times, with trees and lights,
Shaped the Christmas of our nights.
Carols sung and gifts exchanged,
Traditions old, yet rearranged.
In every home, a tree adorned,
With lights and tinsel, joy reborn.
Stockings hung by the fire’s glow,
Awaiting gifts from long ago.
Children’s laughter fills the air,
As families gather everywhere.
Feasts are shared, and prayers are said,
In honor of the Christ child’s bed.
Snowflakes dance on winter’s breeze,
As hearts are warmed with memories.
Of love and peace, and joy so bright,
In Jesus’ name, we find our light.
So let us gather, near and far,
Under the glow of the Christmas star.
With hope and love, our hearts ignite,
In Jesus’ name, we find our light.
Through centuries, the story’s told,
Of shepherds, angels, and gifts of gold.
A timeless tale of love divine,
That in our hearts, forever shines.
